The Indiana State Fair is here, and this year, for the first time, Upland Brewing Company is setting up shop to provide cold, craft beer that goes perfectly with some of our local fan-favorite menu items. We hope you will stop by and visit us on Wednesday, August 16 as we take over the Indiana State Fair tasting room. Here we’ll be offering samples of Two of Tarts, Champagne Velvet, Campside, and Hoosier Gameday Lager, our newest brew.

On August 16, our beers will be available to purchase from noon to 9 p.m. at the Tap Room, located in the Grand Hall across from the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

The following day, Thursday, August 17, Upland will be presenting our Taste and Create experience: Fair Fare with Upland Flare (we know: it’s a lot of f’s). Join us on the ultimate flavor adventure by indulging in premium ingredients sourced from local farms. This event highlights how well our craft beers pair with samples of our menu items available at Upland locations. We hope attendees will be able to taste and appreciate the way we carefully craft flavors that complement one another to provide the best sip and bite possible. This simply couldn’t be possible without our partners. For the State Fair event, we’ll be highlighting meats from Old Major, Red Frazier and Fischer Farms.

On the menu:

  • CV Bratwurst: Old Major bratwurst, chow chow, beer mustard, and red onions on a rustic baguette paired with Champagne Velvet
  • Pig and Fig Slider: Grilled Fischer Farms ground pork, fig jam, herb goat cheese, arugula, and toasted brioche paired with Juiced in Time
  • Bad Elmer’s Slider: Red Frazier Bison, sharp cheddar, sliced bacon, Bad Elmer’s BBQ sauce and pickle spear paired with Bad Elmer’s Porter
  • Vanilla ice cream from the Dairy Barn (provided by the Indiana State Fair) paried with Peach Sour

The cost to join our Taste and Create event is $20 per person, and you must be 21 years or older. Spots are limited, so buy your tickets today!

When You Arrive at the Fairgrounds

Please follow the directions of parking attendants when entering the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center. When parking in the Infield, please use pedestrian tunnels to access activities.

While shuttle service is no longer available, there are several parking options. ADA accessible parking is available throughout the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center. There may also be times when temporary or “special event” ADA parking is created to support large crowds. Please look for signage and parking attendants to assist.

Patrons attending an event at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum who need an ADA accessible entrance may utilize designated drop off areas directly in front of or directly adjacent to the front of the building.

When parking in the Infield, if you require additional accessibility or use a mobility device, please use the tunnel covered by awnings at the southwest corner of the infield.

We’ll see you at the fair!
