Beginning this summer, Upland Brewing Company is teaming up with the Indianapolis Parks and Recreation, Musical Family Tree, Small Box, Friends of Broad Ripple Park, and the Indy Parks Foundation for the “Listen Local” Music Series in Broad Ripple Park.

Starting Friday, May 24, Broad Ripple Park will host a live show with great local bands, all free of charge and all ages. Gates open at 6:00 pm, music starts at 7:00 pm and ends at 10:00 pm. Upland will be on site selling pints of deliciously local beer for $4 to benefit Indy Parks & Recreation and the Indy Parks Foundation. Although this is a free show, we do recommend donating to the Indianapolis Parks Foundation what you can.

To launch the series, the first show, on Friday, May 24, will feature Bloomington-based Gentleman Caller, Everything, Now!, and national recording artists Margot and the Nuclear So and So’s. Friday, June 14 we will have the Art Adams Band, Apache Dropout, and Thee Tsunamis, and on Friday, June 28 We Are Hex, Burnt Ones, and The 2150’s take the stage.
