Whatever you want to call it, it’s a great excuse to throw a party! If you have some German in you, or if you’d like some, stop by the Brew Pub in Bloomington on April 19th for an all-German menu featuring hard-to-pronounce items such as Hasenpfeffer, Schnitzel, and Königsberger Klopse, and the release of our Maibock, a Bavarian lager brewed to celebrate the arrival of Spring. Our Maibock is full bodied with a complex, sweet malt character, balanced by a sturdy German hop profile that creates a crisp, dry finish and a pleased drinker. Starting at 4:30, we’ll be adding free live music to the celebration, so we recommend sticking around all day!
April 19th also happens to be Record Store Day, so all Upland locations will have Vinyl Tap Rye Pale Ale on tap. You’ll also be able to get Vinyl Tap at Landlocked Music in Bloomington and LUNA Music in Indianapolis while you’re browsing the vinyl and CD releases made exclusively for independent record stores that day. Once you’ve made your music selections, take your Landlocked or LUNA receipt dated 4/19/14 to any Upland location to receive free “vintage” Upland merchandise while supplies last! And you can have another Vinyl Tap for a good cause: in partnership with Landlocked and LUNA, 10% of sales from this beer in Bloomington will be donated to Lotus Blossoms Educational Outreach Foundation, and 10% of Indianapolis sales will be donated to Second Helpings, a food rescue organization.
