Our first Secret Barrel Society party was last Saturday, and we’re psyched so many people braved the winter storm to come taste and talk about beer with us! There was certainly no lack of beer, and most would probably agree the highlights were Lightsynth and Darksynth, two new Upland and New Belgium collaboration sours. These beers won’t be released until around April of 2014, but we went ahead and opened several bottles of each for a sneak peek at the party. We tasted a wide range of beers, including Sour Reserve gueuze, fruited Lambics, Berliner Weisse, and cellared Winter Warmer barleywine. It was great to meet some of our new members, and we can’t wait for the next get-together!
