Late nights and long drives highlighted this past week for Team Upland as they spread out across the Midwest and East coast for several different and exciting races.
To briefly highlight:
• Our own Spencer Dell reached the podium finishing 3rd in the Carmel Cycling Grand Prix Cat 3 Race on June 1st. Jeff Meade and Chris Pfeiffer rounded out the Upland effort in 12th and 19th place. In addition, John Callahan and Tim Nixon placed 9th and 13th in the Cat 1/2/3 race.
• Ryan Shean and Chris Kroll made the long journey to Tulsa, Oklahoma this past weekend for the Tulsa Tough 3-day event. Shean fought his way to a 3rd place finish during Day 3’s “Cry Baby Hill”
• Cody Woods made the trek to Washington D.C. for the Air Force Cycling Classic where he finished 10th and 21st in an impressive showing.
• Kyle Perry headed east to participate in the fixed gear race extravaganza that is the Red Hook Navy Yard Crit. In a race full of gruesome crashes and not a lick of coasting, Kyle pulled off a 12th place finish.
Needless to say, Team Upland has been keeping themselves busy so far this June. With plenty of sunshine and more races to come, there will be ample opportunity to cheer on our lads. As always, be sure to check out the Team Upland FB, Team Upland Twitter, and the Team Upland Website for more details, schedules, and highlights on the Team’s activities.
Look for another update next week; until then keep spinning and cheers!
