In keeping pace with this year’s criterium season, the past two weeks have been just as successful for Team Upland. The Bloomington Cycling Grand Prix that took place the last Saturday of July easily lived up to the hype from last year’s shenanigans. Race day included several crashes, sprints, spirits and a fairly raucous Upland after party for the ages. Kyle Perry took 4th place in the Cat 1/2/3 race and Peter Gray took 4th as well in the Cat 3/4. This would be a feat they repeat in the Warsaw Downtown Classic with both taking 2nd place in their respective races. Definitely nice to see the boys strutting the green, blue and black on the podium!
Looking forward to next weekend, Indy-Upland-Lovers have another chance to see the boys in Team Upland in action as they take on the Mass Avenue Crit. This should be one of the bigger events of the season so do not miss out! With the festivities beginning at noon and the races taking place until midnight, there will be plenty to see, drink, and eat while cheering on your favorite team. The Upland tent will be located at the Old Point Tavern, so feel free to stop by, meet the riders and grab a pint of your favorite Upland beer inside.
Like always, check out the Team Upland Facebook and Twitter pages @TeamUpland to get the inside scoop on all the team’s progress, musings and results. But most importantly, come out to the Mass Ave Crit this coming weekend to cheer on our guys!
