If you’re a homebrewer, put your game face on. The seventh annual UpCup Homebrewing Competition and AHA Rally is just a few months away, and the challenge is fierce! Every year we get hundreds of entries from homebrewers across the Midwest who want to show professional brewers and BJCP judges what they’re made of. These beers are so good, sometimes we think judging is the hardest part of the competition. Nevertheless, judge we do, and the winner goes home with the UpCup Trophy, has his or her beer made in our brewing facility by our staff of professionals, and gets entered in the Pro-Am category at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado!

We’ll be accepting entries until May 31st, 2014. Full rules and details, along with printable submission instructions, can be found at BY CLICKING HERE. The entry fee is $5 (check or cash please), and submissions can be dropped off at any Upland location or mailed to our production facility at 4060 Profile Pkwy, Bloomington, IN 47404. Happy homebrewing!

The UpCup judging will be held June 7th, along with the annual AHA rally hosted at our production facility. Complimentary food and beer samples will be available, including last year’s winning entry from Tom Wallbank, Breakfast Berliner Weisse. Take a VIP brewery tour, offered throughout the event, and enter to win great raffle prizes from the American Homebrewers Association and Upland! If you are not currently an American Homebrewers Association member but would like to join us at the UpCup, please be prepared to purchase or renew a $40 membership.
