BLOOMINGTON [January 21, 2026] – Upland Brewing Company, Indiana’s third-largest craft brewery, is celebrating Indiana Football’s 2026 National Championship and honoring head coach Curt Cignetti with a lifetime supply of Upland beer following his post-game press conference shoutout recognizing Hoosier Gameday Lager as his drink of choice after the victory in Miami.
Early in the season, Coach Cignetti made a comment about enjoying a beer after games. Upland Brewing Company figured there was no better choice than beer made in Bloomington and delivered beer to Coach and his staff. Since then, Hoosier Gameday Lager has become part of the team’s post-game tradition. Coach Cignetti and his staff have celebrated win after win during the season with Upland beer, at home and on the road.
“It has been incredible to have our beer quite literally along for the ride this season,” said Samantha Marr, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Upland Brewing Company. “Seeing Hoosier Gameday Lager represented at this level and embraced by students, fans, alumni, and now the national champions is something we hoped for but never expected when this beer launched.”
Coach Cignetti and his staff have ignited Indiana Football and brought a new level of energy and joy to Bloomington and the state of Indiana. Upland Brewing Company will continue providing Hoosier Gameday Lager for the team to celebrate their national championship and will officially provide a free lifetime supply of Upland beer to Coach Cignetti as a thank you for the post-game comments that helped shine a national spotlight on a local, independent craft brewery.

Hoosier Gameday Lager launched in 2023 through a partnership with Indiana University Athletics and Indiana University Licensing and Trademarks. A portion of all Hoosier Gameday Lager proceeds support IU student scholarships. As a result, every can sold helps send students to one of the nation’s top public universities.
